It has been a while since my last blog post. I hope you had a wonderful start to the new year!
The last couple of weeks have been filled with festive end of year gatherings, family reunions, ski holiday's, the end of a job and sweet goodbye's. I feel like I can finally breathe and take the time to digest & reflect.
2019 was full of big changes in my life; I broke up with a long term relationship, I moved from Australia to the UK and back home to Amsterdam, enjoyed new jobs, explored new places and met some incredibly inspiring people.
Now, at the start of 2020 I am entering a new phase in my life. Exactly five years ago I was sitting in this same bedroom at my mum's house. I had quit my job, given up my apartment, packed my bags and was about to move to London to start a new venture.
I was 23 years old when I left and for the past five years I lived in different countries and places around the world. This journey has led me to discover other cultures & phylosophies about life. It opened my mind to new ideas and beliefs, and provided me with many teachings. It has been one big adventure with lots of challenges and full of ups & downs. I am so grateful for it all. It has led me to a place of fulfillment in life, knowing myself, my mission and purpose.
After years of travel, it feels as though I have gone full circle. I am back home living at my mum's place again, but with so much more life experience & knowledge. I am allowing myself some time to digest all that has happened, find my feet again and focus on my next steps.
I am excited for the year 2020. Although I don't have the year fully planned out, my focus is on studying for my Yoga Teacher Training in the Spring, connecting with family & friends and enjoying some time off to recharge.
I look forward to sharing more of this journey with you throughout this year!
