We view things through our own lens and believe what we perceive to be true. But what if this isn't the truth, but just your truth? And if you were to see things with a wider lens from a different angel it may all be different?
Changing my perception has helped me on multiple occasions to get a greater understanding of that which I have experienced in the past. By seeing both the benefits and the drawbacks of events, I was able to balance out my emotions and feel nothing but love and gratitude.
I now practice this daily and it has become a game changer. Instead of feeling a victim to my circumstances, I ask myself: 'What are the benefits?' and 'What can I learn from this experience?' This has changed the way I look at life. I feel empowered to be able to face challenges and see them for what they truly are: an opportunity to learn and grow.
I believe that things happen for you, not to you. I believe a lesson will keep repeating itself until we have grasped it and can move on. It's our own responsibility to face these challenges, apply what we have learned and pass the test. This, however, will never end as a new lesson awaits at the next level. But when you look back and think of all the times you were able to handle whatever you faced, you can see the growth that has occurred. These moments of reflection are important, remembering where you started, where you came from and to see how far you have come. Let this inspire you to keep doing the work, to keep growing.
